You said, "Do you sit? If not, maybe try it. It is a time honored way to sweep the mind of illusions. Dharma practitioners sit. They don’t chase ‘spiritual realms’ or ‘alternative realities’. They clear space to experience actuality just as it is. Here. Now. Clarity. It is a practice of clarification and perceptual integration with what actually is."

I don't "sit." But I meditate. Are you aware that there are two kinds of meditation, one is Samatha and the other is Vipassana? Before Buddha, meditation was mostly the Samatha kind. It was Buddha himself who invented Vipassana meditation. He talked about it at length in the Satipatthana Sutta. If you have not read it, I recommend that you do. Also, not all Ch'an Buddhists practice sitting meditation. Hui Neng is the Sixth Patriarch of Ch'an. During his time, an official was sent from the imperial court to ask him about the practice. The official commented that "all the Ch'an masters in the capital taught sitting meditation. Why are you different?" Hui Neng's reply was refreshing. He said, "The Tao is to be realized through understanding. What does it have to do with sitting?"
